Progress

Hello its me! For the last couple of days my partner and I have been doing great! We are making tons of progress. Today we are making the finishing touches on our game demo. Our practice run was okay but I caught some errors also my partner was not present at the time. Last year she did okay and she did fairly well with no errors that I caught. Although our game demo presentation is the 16th I am prepared and ready to conquer the judges and everything else. This event is very formal and I plan to dress nice and do a great job. Bye for now! Presenting Game Demo

During the past few days we have been presenting and preparing our game demos. I learned many things about other people's games. Daunez and I are partners although she was absent I did a pretty fair job presenting by myself. The games that I saw were very different from what I might have imagined. Some people already started on their game and are almost done. My friends are pretty far but I think I need some help cause I have only joined Globaloria recently this year. I find it difficult and making the Game Demo was pretty hard if you ask me. Well bye.

Adding Sound

     I plan to use sound by making the sound play while doing certain tasks. Like when you get a question right or wrong. The sound will alarm you that you either got it right or wrong. The sound for getting a question right is a ding sound meaning you got it right. The sound for getting it wrong is a loud beep sound that is deep in audio. The sounds are not necessary but they mean various things to get your attention. When tour character flies there is a whoosh sound. This means he is flying in the air (not on the ground). Throughout the game is different sounds and animations so enjoy them. Bye till not next Friday but the Friday after.

Adding Keyboard

      I really don't like flash because it is really complicated. All the coding, fixing things and it takes up a lot of time. The games are very undetailed which is not a thing I like. I like games that don't include problems or undetailativity. The flash program is not the bet but its not the worst either. The games are very complicated and are definitely hard to set up. Even the most experience maker on flash runs into problems. Bye for now until next Friday!

Adding Animation

This animation reminds me of my game because in our game the character flies. This stands out to me because it is very different how it moves and looks. The flying movement is correct by mocking the flapping movement of any bird. This animation is one that I find interesting cause I like flying animtaions including this one and many others. For example the animational angels and the running wolves are some of my favorite. Well I have been working on adding animation lately which I have already posted on my wiki. Bye for now!

What I have done.

I am a little confused on buttons and codes. The codes have to be on certain action scenes. Which is a problem because I am a new person in Globaloria and is is so difficult. My partner Daunez is great so she helps me out when I need it. It is not self explanatory so it is even harder. The making of the buttons and coding are hard and difficult. It's great that I have a partner to help me. I have been absent for quite a while which I have been lagging in work. There really isn't anything that I am good at except when everyone has the correct codes I mean make it work. That is about it. I have done a couple scenes and 1 level that is incomplete but my partner has done a lot more cause she is experienced.

Knowledge

The link I recommend is wikipedia.org. It is helpful in many ways you can look at wikis and articles on different things. The articles are the most helpful to me and it will hopefully be helpful to you. The wikipedia website is usually the most current and most recent entries. Even though wikipedia may be a reliable source you may want to consider other entries on other websites. Google may help you but it rings up everythong in the world. Ask and Yahoo are the same. Double check all your resources including the ones from wikipedia.org.

Adding A Scene

Hey it's me! I have been working on adding scenes on my game. I can imagine what our game may look like. The characters just flying to save the town. The meteors trying to destroy the town! Now earlier I have played some games that Globaloria students have made. Like WV Animal Rescue Squad it teaches you facts about the health and well being of animals. The game I am making will be my first so that I want to make it great. My partner and I are doing a fantastic job making and adding scenes to our game! Bye For Now!

Drawing A Scene

Yet again it is me! In Globaloria class, we have been working on drawing a scene. Where we start making our official game. We have made many scenes. The super proportion man flies to the rescue in this exciting game. The town is in trouble and he has to save them! The question in our game is about proportions. You have to answer the question to save the town. If the answer is wrong your town is destroyed by the meteors! The scene we did was the title of course leading to directions and explanation of proportion. The game still has a lot of work to do and we will keep you informed!

Paper Prototype

Hey it's me and this week I have been working on my paper protoype. It's been okay and I am finally done. Our game is called Super Proportion Man! I have in the past told you that our game was called Crossing Silly Band Nation but I have changed it lately. My game consists of cross multiplication as the questions. SPM is to the rescue trying to save the town and himself. We really need to record our paper prototype but I will get it done. See you till next friday!!

Game Idea

Our game ( My partner , Amber and I )will fall in the adventure  and action category. You choose from two players. A girl player or a boy player. The game is based on a super hero in your town . To get started you answer a ratio problem. To solve it you fly and dodge  objects like meteors and hit the correct answer. If you get it wrong you start over. And  your town will perish and the good citizens will be no more. Get the answer right and your town is saved just hit the correct meteor and your town is  saved. Till now!

Well that is what I see our game looking and the controls/instructions are. Our characters Super Proportion Man and Super Proportion Woman must save the day! If you fail all the good citizens perish and there will be nothing left of the city maybe some ashes by the meteor but that will be it! I think the most exciting thing is to watch your game come to life by coding and designs.

Team Blog

The whatchamacallits a team of two people. Daunez12 the experienced one of the two of us. She is returning to Globaloria for the second time. Britt.hgmn (me) on the other hand is not experience but I am trying hard. We both share roles this includes designing, managing, coding, graphics, and text. I really think I am okay with everything but I think I am expecially good at coding. It is difficult for people but being a newcomer it seems to be my strenght. I can somehow help people with this, finding the exact place for a code to go. Making certain things to move, also including other actions. I like to experiment with the coding doing many things like actions. I really think it is a big challenge but with partners it seems easier.

Mini Game

Hey its me! My partner and I have been working on our mini game project. I really play all kinds of games in my free time. Mostly they are on my sister's i pod but I love to play games on there. My favorite games are adventure and fighting games. I play dragon jet pack iv all the time in my spare time. You start out by running using the left side of the screen to jump and to hover using a jet pack. The right side you use to burn cities and to go through walls and the occasional panda flyers. As you progress through the game you start to run faster which in my case is easier, but for most it is hard. Now your probably wanting to know about my mini game well I am making the wolf move while the bunny move. It can also count your score now. Choosing a Topic

Over the past few days I have been working on choosing a topic from myglife.org. Our game is based on adventure in what I think is the best type of game there is. Strategic games and quizzes I really don't like and racing is a little difficult even for the player. Our game is about Silly Bands and the title is Crossing Silly Band Nation. Well you can figure out the rest. On choosing a topic I sited many wikipedia websites that might help me in the future. I need all kinds of knowledge about making games since I am knew to Globaloria.

Playing To Learn

              I have played many games including Gravitee and drift runners. Out of the games I have played the one that I like is The WV Animal Squad you save animals and learn some tips about caring for them. You advance to three animals like dogs, cats, and chinchillas. My game idea's genre is Adventure. The game is about an avatar that has lost it's way back from home. Adventure games are the most fun games I have ever played and now I get to actually make one. The games idea not only teaches math but also teaches math of a high grade level like eight grade. The creaters of this game is none other than Daunez12 and well me.

Globaloria

I am a first time person at Globaloria. Playing on flash seems difficult but I am getting the hang of it. I have made three shapes move using flash. I signed up last year wanting to make games for others to play. Daunez12 and I are in a team called the WhatChaMACallIts a weird name I know. It is all I could think of. Our game will probably an adventure with math questions a long the way.
